Abstract

WINE, Noga. The Variable Session. Trivium [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.2, pp. 78-91. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2021v2p.78.

This article presents a study of the origins of time handling in the psychoanalytic pra ctice elaborated by Lacan. This maneuver became a fundamental tool in his clinic. It's starting point was the invention of his master signifier "Logical Time", which is composed of three instances: the instant to see, the time to understand and the moment to conclude and act. It is argued that in this way Lacan reformulates the three instances of the psychic apparatus of the first Freudian topic, in temporal terms, in an attempt to free the temporal stages of the subject's constitution from its spatial constraints.

Keywords : LOGICAL TIME; LACAN; CONSTITUITION OF THE SUBJECT.
