In 2021, the centenary of the text "Mass Psychology and Analysis of the Self" by Sigmund Freud was celebrated. The return to the questions developed in this work, led to questions about what would have changed in the psychology of the masses, given the sociocultural transformations that occurred over these 100 years. Considering contemporary communication, the different forms of leadership, social networks, etc., this article proposes a return to the 1921 text, aiming to demonstrate its relevance from a reflection on contemporaneity.
