QUINET, Antonio. The scopic society and the digital state. Trivium [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.spe, pp. 103-112. ISSN 2176-4891.

This article approaches the psychology of the masses in the digital age from the concept of "scopic society" developed by the author in his book Um gaze a mais, which is the conjunction of the "society of the spectacle" (Debord) with the "disciplinary society" ( Foucault) in the light of the scopic drive (Freud) and the gaze as object a (Lacan). The scopic society materializes in social networks, promoting a bigbrotherization of the world where everyone is transparent and watched by an anonymous Other and also targets of commercial and political advertisements. In the command post is the topological place of the Most-of-the-Look object, which can be occupied by anyone for all purposes.

Palavras-chave : MASS PSYCHOLOGY; SOCIETY OF SCOPIC; DISCIPLINARY SOCIETY; SHOW SOCIETY; MORE-THE LOOK.
