Abstract

CRUZ, Kelliane de Sá  and  FERNANDES, Andréa Hortélio. Clinical Devices of CAPS Psychologists in Salvador: between Tutelage and Clinic of Phsychoses. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2012, vol.4, n.2, pp. 94-105. ISSN 2177-093X.

The Psychiatric Reform has demanded changes in political and clinical practices in the mental health field in order to transform the old asylum model of care to the psychosocial one, resulting in the current frame of permanent (re)construction concept. It shows a transition period that the analyses of clinical devices have been used by the psychologists who work at CAPS as relevant. We observed the clinical deeds of these professionals in various activities they perform in two CAPS II in Salvador. The analysis of these observations allowed an identification of their clinical paradigms, their way of interaction and their theoretical foundations. Besides, we could verify the constant prevalence of the political dimension of the Reform on its clinical dimension and the presence of innovative practices coexisting with remnants of the old asylum model in the mental health field nowadays.
