Abstract

LUNA, Ivania Jann. Meanings of completness in the psychology practice of brazilian public health. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2014, vol.6, n.2, pp. 1-10. ISSN 2177-093X.

This article points out public health care work indicators within the psychologist Brazilian Public Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde) and outlines the problems of the senses which are related to these indicators, using the principles of completeness. In order to do so, a selective and systematic literature review was undertaken concerning the role of the psychologist predominantly in the primary health care environment, in 2000 - 2011 years, among principle Brazilian databases. Eighteen (18) scientific articles which sought to better understand the role of the psychologist were identified. Through comparative methodology, based on analytical procedure proposed by Grounded Theory, the following five work indicators were then identified: social and ethical commitment, promoting health, action diversification, interdisciplinary comprehension, and health care team participation. The articulation of diverse levels of health care, increased perception towards health care needs, and opening the otherness were some of the senses of completeness that were gathered based on these work indicators.
