This paper examines the process of deinstitutionalization of madness in the network of relationships between social practices involving the Center for Psychosocial Care (CAPS) from the Vitória - Espirito Santo. CAPSsystem arisesfrom thePsychiatric Reformas an innovative strategyfor health care. They arereplacement servicestopsychiatric hospitalsthat followthe logicasylum.Cartography was used as a methodological resourceto observelines and trends of Psychiatric Reform processes.This resource helps us toreveal what psychosocial care modes are engendered and the power lines that go through the process of psychiatric reform in Brazil. It has been found that there is, on one hand, a line of biomedical strength. On the other, there is a line of force which operates via the coding state machines. Among them, pass an escape line written in the territory that requires a struggle for cultural change, the right to diversity and citizenship for the psychiatric patient, in short, is a line in the city.
