The study discusses the insertion of Psychology at a Multiprofissional Residence in Health (MRH) program and its importance for the Health Psychology experts formation process. The objective of this study is to describe and discuss the experience of a psychology resident in a MRH program. Two topics were the main focuses of this experience: 1. The prospective demands of the psychology resident's care, and 2. The Multiprofissional team work and the team's expectative about the psychologist practice. Positive and negative aspects of this experience were discussed and compared to the existing literature. Finally, the impact of a multidisciplinary experience in the Health Psychologyst formation is discussed in order to highlight its importance to the development of this specialty within the context of the Brazilian public health system.
