This study aims to present perceptions of teen moms about their pregnancy processes. We chose a qualitative approach and a semi-structured survey. Ten female adolescents with a current or recent gestation history were interviewed in city of Minas Gerais state. The data treatment was performed by content analysis. The pregnant women reported conflicting feelings about gestation. Maturity, social restraints, and school dropout were the most frequently cited changes. No pregnancy was planned, with inadequate or inconsistent use of the contraceptive method mentioned by the majority. The young women's approach to Primary Health Care was not very close. Prospects for the future were vague and succinct. The findings of the present study point to the reproduction of social behavior patterns linked to income, educational level and gende.
