Abstract

ZAHER, Lucas José Ávila  and  RAVANELLO, Tiago. A discursive approach to malaise. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.1, pp. 47-62. ISSN 2177-093X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v10i1.549.

The paper starts from the discussion about the Freudian conception of culture to develop an opposite perspective between, on the one hand, the radical helplessness of the human being as a measure of the ethical condition and, on the other, several positions of reductionism of the psychic phenomena to biological, naturalistic and/or physicalistic determinants as a way of concealment of the resulting malaise. By taking the conception of culture as a reading operator, the article delimits the structural distinctions between the practices of recognition of malaise by discursive approaches - following Lacan's orientation in his return to Freud - and those seeking the epistemological basis in the model of natural sciences. As a result, we argue that delimitation in terms of language for malaise implies the clinical condition of its narrativity, as well as the inclusion of a conception of subject incompatible with the model of the natural sciences.
