NORIEGA, José Angel Vera; QUINTANA, Jesús Tánori; HERNANDEZ, Gildardo Bautista  e  CARVAJAL, Claudia Karina Rodríguez. Subjective well-being in people with motor disabilities in Mexico. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.2, pp. 15-24. ISSN 2177-093X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v9i1.375.

The research aims to delimit through discriminant analysis, the variables that identify in subjects with motor disabilities with and without life satisfaction. Of a national sample, a subsample of 593 people who reported problems with the coarse and/or fine motor behavior was obtained. People showed significant differences between groups of satisfaction-unsatisfaction to: satisfaction domains, eudemonia, emotional balance, fullness, and life expectancy. In the comparison of discrete variables they were significant: loans requested, stressful situations, and abuse. The variables that discriminate the two groups were: satisfaction with the standard of living, with health, with emotional life, activities in addition to optimism about the future, and the closeness to the ideal of life were those discriminated against to 90 percent of people with motor disabilities. Logistic regression indicates that they are twice as likely to be satisfied with life, health, and optimism, rather than unsatisfied.

Palavras-chave : motor disability; life satisfaction; logistic regression.
