The study sought to investigate violence against women in the dating of University students. Quantitative and qualitative research was conducted using a questionnaire online. The sample (n = 47) was composed by male subjects over 18 years and heterosexual. It was found that participants identified more easily as the violent behaviors that entailed visible damage or body. Physical violence was the most recognized, however, the offence of subjective character were the most prevalent, although less perceived as abusive. The moral and psychological violence were highlighted as the forms of violence against women more present in the dating of the participants, followed by sexual, patrimonial and physics,
