This article deals with an integrative literature review of the scientific production of Psychology in Brazil on suicidal behavior from 2006 to 2017, in order to know how suicidal behavior has been approached in this field of knowledge. For this purpose, scientific articles were searched in the Scielo and Pepsic databases with the descriptions "suicidal behavior", "self-destructive behavior" and "suicide". The results showed that between 2006 and 2010 production was scarce, between 2011 and 2013 there was a significant increase with the apex in the year 2013. In 2014 and 2016 there was a new fall. The studies analyzed were divided into empirical and theoretical ones, among the psychological approaches used for the discussions of the articles was Psychoanalysis. It is concluded that although suicide is considered a public health issue, there is a shortage of studies on prevention and interventions in the psychosocial care network.
