This article is characterized by a critical study that addresses the mode of reception in a experience established by a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) as a tool for the care and the promotion of mental health of adolescents. The material used to support this study was the service write registration of the demand of reception teenagers concerned from October 2014 to February 2015. To analyze and problematize the results from these records, we will present a theoretical discussion about adolescence, the Expanded Clinic and the Harm Reduction. From the analysis of this space of care, it is concluded that the host in this mode has been proven effective and in line with the prospect of extended clinic proposed by the Ministry of Health of Brazil for a Psychosocial Care Center.
