Abstract

SOARES, Francisco Bruno Paz  and  MACEDO, João Paulo Sales. Intersections between psychology of health and collective health: an integrating review. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.1, pp. 33-47. ISSN 2177-093X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v12i1.741.

The study proposes an integrative review of the national scientific production about the interface between Health Psychology and Collective Health. The review was carried out utilizing the databases gathered in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), using the descriptors "Collective Health" and "Public Health" and the keyword "Health Psychology". The articles were found predominantly in periodicals that comprise the area of Psychology, based on empirical research, based on references of Health Psychology and the little dialogue with Collective Health. It is concluded that, despite the efforts of some authors of Health Psychology in proposing possible approximations with other fields, including Collective Health, such actions are predominantly focused on the expansion of professional spaces.

Keywords : health psychology; collective health; public health.
