Abstract

RIGOTTI, Daniel Goulart  and  SACARDO, Daniele Pompei. Matrix support and the production of autonomy in health work. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.3, pp. 33-46. ISSN 2177-093X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.20435/pssa.vi.1078.

As a guideline of the Brazilian National Health Service (SUS), the Matrix Support seeks to expand the analytical capacity of health workers and their co-responsibility in the actions developed in the services. The objective was to understand its influence on the autonomy of supporters in health work by their perceptions. We analyzed narratives elaborated from focus groups, and the results showed the work process of the matrix supporters sustained in three axes: autonomy, fragmentation of work/care, and management processes, in association with SUS proposal to produce creative and capable workers to analyze its context. It was revealed the expansion of autonomy to develop daily work, the recognition of the contradiction between the comprehensiveness and fragmentation of work and care, and the impact of management forms on the production of these subjects. Finally, we point to the need for greater institutional investments in Matrix Support as an effective policy of increasing commitment and autonomy of workers and co-management processes.

Keywords : matrix support; health work process; professional autonomy; integrality in health.
