This article aims to present problematizations between the differentiated attention in SUS and affirmative policies achieved by the action of indigenous women in the city of Manaus, Amazonas. Since the 1970s, we have identified in the Brazilian Amazon, a region of fertile ethnic plurality, a network of gender relations being woven within the broader indigenous movement, creating an organizational balance of social participation in community actions that culminated in the struggles and achievements for consolidation of indigenous health in the SUS. In light of socio-historical psychology and its interfaces with anthropology, history, and public health, we seek to revalue the experiences of indigenous women in the city of Manaus, highlighting their contributions to differentiated health in SUS articulated with other affirmative policies achieved as the right to the city, to work, the right to culture and the right to education.
