Abstract

BENEVIDES, Pablo Severiano  and  SIEBRA, Adolfo Jesiel. The psychology-health intertwining through public policies: a discursive analysis from CREPOP brochures. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.1, pp. 97-111. ISSN 2177-093X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v13i1.973.

The supposed, original and remote link between psychology and health is no denial of psychology, in Brazilian territory, having institutional links recognized with the field of health only in the recent decades. Assuming that the criterion for the formation of such link are the statements effectively raising institutional status of the official speeches, the scope of this study consists of examining, from a Foucauldian perspective, the formation of a set of discursive practices that overlap psychology, health, and public policies. The corpus of this research will consist of the booklets produced by the Reference Center in Psychology and Public Policy (CREPOP). Such overlap has a double effect: the attempt of a metamorphosis within psychology itself and its insertion into health practices. By referring to a whole progressive-legal lexicon, psychological discourses begin to function as health discourses and signal an emancipated and democratic horizon for humanity.

Keywords : psychological practices; health practices; public policies; CREPOP; speech analysis.
