Cerebral Palsy (CP), a group of motor and postural disorders caused by a brain injury that occurred during the brain development phase, is the most common cause of motor impairment in childhood. However, there is litle natonal official data regarding children living with cerebral palsy. Therefore, this research aimed to characterize children with Cerebral Palsy living in cites in the state of Parß. One hundred and thirty-two primary caregivers of children with CP from pole cites in the State answered a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Gross Motor Functon Classificaton System (GMFCS). The data were transcribed and analyzed using descriptive statstcs. The main results point to a framework of social vulnerability in these children, most of whom had severe motor impairment, in additon to other chronic health problems. These data suggest the need to invest in public health and social assistance policies in order to promote the health of children with CP and prevent injuries.
