The first visits to the clinic-school trigger emotional experiences in the apprentice psychotherapists from their first experiences with the transference and countertransference phenomena in between the analytical pair. The article aims to analyze the emotional experiences, known and reported by apprentice psychotherapists during the care of children in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This is a clinical-qualitative study, based on documentary analysis of clinical care reports. The sample consisted of seven apprentice psychotherapists, their patients, aged 4 to 12 years old, and their families. From the analysis of emotional experiences, five categories of emotion were identified: anguish, joy, insecurity, worry, and satisfaction. The study allowed to reflect on the potentialities of emotional experiences of apprentices in the children's clinic. In addition, it demonstrated the importance of supervision as a space for listening and acknowledging the emotions of the apprentice psychotherapist and its consequences in the care of children in the psychoanalytical clinic.
