Since 2004, based on the judgment that concerns the National Curricular Policies for the psychology graduation courses, it was established the need to set up psychology services that support the propositions of the formation of psychologists according to the community demands in which the student is inserted. This article aims at discussing the role of the Service Center in Psychology - Cesep - from the Psychology Course of Faculdades Integradas de Taquara in the consolidation of the Course's Pedagogical Project. In this regard, current studies are presented on the practice of school-services, such as the strategies taken by Cesep to promote the formation of the student body, for instance. Aware of the community needs, the academic ground is inserted in the main issues of the future field of professional life, developing competences based on the objectives of the course and on offered curricular emphases.
