The aim of this study was to characterize the presence of Human Rights in psychology courses in Brazil. Two studies were conducted: (a) a survey of publications that related psychology and human rights, (b) characterized the presence of human rights in the curricula of the courses The first study searched for publications in psychology at referenced websites. 21 references have been consolidated. The second study sent online questionnaires to all registered courses in psychology in 2008 at the Education Ministry and received 27 responses. The data referred to the presence of HR, since 2006, at Psychology courses of.The formation on HR for psychology students occurs primarily in disciplines (96.3%), followed by extension projects (66.6%) and lectures and debates (63%). The activities less held are organized by the studentes and the accession of campaigns that goes beyond the College (up to 26%). The online activities on HR proposed this year by ABEP/CFP and the indication of other spaces obtained the accession of nine courses (33%). Therefore, it's possible to affirm that the HR theme is present, with greater force, at the more traditional activities of the course.
