Abstract

SIQUEIRA, André Boccasius  and  FIGUEIREDO, Graziele Cunha. Infantile Autism and Psychosis: graduate production in Brazil from 2007 to 2008. Psicol. Ensino & Form. [online]. 2013, vol.4, n.1, pp. 106-124. ISSN 2177-2061.

This research makes a quantitative presentation of the graduate academic production in Brazil in the 2007-2008 period on the theme of Special Education, emphasizing two Global Development Disorders: autism and infantile psychosis. That theme is relevant because there is little production in Brazil and information available to educators, especially educational psychology professionals. Categories of analyses were organized around the proposed theme. Thirty eight works were found at the CAPES repository of academic journals and theses (Portal de Periódicos CAPES) and only two at the Digital Library Website (Portal da Biblioteca Digital) which were not concurrent. From all the works encountered, seven (dissertations and theses) were selected for the analyses. It was concluded that although the academic works for the period studied are few, they do report on significant experiences, such as, the importance of fully knowing the historical context we find ourselves in. Those academic productions foster the development of a sensitive perception of human diversity and the pedagogical processes that permeate our children's school education processes.

Keywords : Special education; Infantile autism; Infantile psychosis; Brazilian dissertations and theses.
