This article aims to discuss the training of psychology teachers. It examines the current problems with said education within the broader set of issues present in the field of psychology as a science and as a profession. In addition, it analyses the reasons as to why little attention is afforded to the teaching process of psychology education, focusing on such education in Brazil in particular. Finally, the author suggests certain elements that must be present in the training of psychology teachers.
