Abstract

The article focuses on the various aspects of interactions between high school students and the tasks inherent to school, and aims to find in Social Cognitive Theory the conceptual support for the interpretation of the phenomena investigated. By exploring the concept of self-efficacy beliefs in various domains through careful investigations, each work demonstrates the important contributions of the theory to the understanding of education, while also indicating possible interventions. The papers address different facets of self-efficacy beliefs, offering a broad overview of the applicability of the theory and indicating areas to consolidate effective and preventive interventions at school.
