Abstract

Psychological assessment is an exclusive practice of the psychologist that involves both ethical and social responsibility issues, what requires training that covers theoretical contents and practices during the internship in Psychology graduation. Therefore, this study is an experience report that approaches the practice at a school-based psychological assessment service performed in the juridical field. Two cases forwarded by the Judicial Branch are explained and discussed, both of which were motivated by the suspension of visits due to alleged sexual abuse committed against the minors. The techniques, procedures, outcomes, and also the practical challenges of this kind of evaluation will be discussed, as well as the impact on teaching for trainees psychologists.
