This article aims to reflect on some uses of the didactic laboratory of behavior analysis in undergraduate psychology courses. Thus, it will be established dialogue with the teaching of sciences, an area that already has a strong debate about the experimental teaching in laboratories. Looking up the most frequent justifications for the use of the laboratory of behavior analysis as a didactic resource, it is found that, as often as it stands, allows the emergence of issues on its quality and relevance in the minimum curriculum of psychology. Among these issues, one that most stands out is related to ethics in experimentation with animals, since political discussions around animal uses for experimentation put in jeopardy the existence of the didactic laboratory of behavior analysis. Accordingly, there is a need for reflection on the uses and implications of the laboratory of behavior analysis in teaching psychology.
