SILVEIRA, Helena Colodetti G.. Os arquétipos do pensamento Kantiano na metapsicologia de Freud e a sua ruptura por Winnicott: o resgate da capacidade criativa do indivíduo. Rev. Epos [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 2178-700X.

This essay aims to point out the continuity of the epistemological modern avatars on Freud’s formulations regarding metapsychology. Freud’s concern about labeling psychoanalyze as "science" caused sideways compromises with kantian matrix: reducing the psyche to the analogy "human-machine"; causative determination of behaviors; and inescapable destinies for human beings. Winnicot, on his turn, has the important role of contrasting Freud’s orthodoxies, since he reintroduces inside the psyche the very aspects of human historical experience with the environment, which has for him a leading role on the process of ego’s formation. To Winnicot, the core of individuation processes rests on the subject capacity of making choices, being creative, which means bottom line, being free, departing from a vital natural condition that doesn’t arrives from the outside, oppressing, but instead offers to the subject the possibility to constitute himself through history and nature.
