Abstract

FORTES, Isabel. A anatomia fantasmática: o lugar do corpo em psicanálise. Rev. Epos [online]. 2012, vol.3, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 2178-700X.

The article presents a conceptual cartography about the place of the body in psychoanalysis, arising from the idea that it is built around a phantasm anatomy. The hysterical body causes a break with clinical anatomy, expressing itself through an original mapping that follows a rationale, apart from the anatomic, related to desire and the mysteries of the unconscious. The erogenous body is presented as revolving around its parts much more than as a unity. Though it descends from the dissection of corpses, it has become distinct from the body-as-corpse of modern medicine. The article details the importance of hypochondriac anguish and pain in embracing one’s own body and how the dimension of the organ is conceived in psychoanalysis. Lastly, the question of drive excess is shown to be a relevant conceptual element in building such a cartography.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; body; dissection of corpses; hypochondria; drive excess.
