This paper aims to problematize some statements and discourses that support homosexuality as an abject sexuality and that promote a heterosexual regulatory ideal throughout the entire social field. This work highlights some theological, legal and scientific statements that made proliferate heteronormative discourses and that contributed to the construction of the homophobia. I argue that it is not possible to think about homophobia without considering the discursive wefts on which homosexuality was stated. Considering the field of problems shown during the text, it is also problematized some ethical and political considerations that are necessary to contemporary Brazilian psychology.
