MULLER, Rita Flores. The right of the male population health. Rev. Epos [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.2, pp. 98-116. ISSN 2178-700X.

This paper proposes a brief mapping of the production on the male population’s right to health, considering its historical and contingent character. We start from the premise that the building of this right is a relatively recent event, and follows the great declarations of human rights that give life to normalization. The National Policy for Integral Attention to Men's Health [Política Nacional de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Homem] is the fundamental analyzer to reflect on the various plans that concern the "human right to health" - key category that is intelligible exactly due to the discursive positions proposed in this dispersion. The human health policy proposal is aligned to the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights, and at the same time finds in this particular agenda part of the ground of its emergence. It is clear, therefore, in reading the corpus, an effort of the State to ensure a citizenship space for the male population, materialized in the construction of a work agenda with men in Brazil.
