The theme of "disability" opens the discussion for those people considered as different. Historically, treatment given to disabled person has been object to variations according to groups, families and communities. Not all disabilities are the same. This article will focus on the Down syndrome, in order to think out the subjective construction of these people and the way this births at times, make familiar relations more difficult. Family therapy work is an indispensable tool so as not to consider child as a "syndrome", disassociating him from the place of "designated patient".
