With the current definition of health proposed by World Health Organization (WHO), the movement involving its promotion starts to reflect on people’s life more broadly. One of its central goals focuses on maximizing the individual competencies repertory, which ones provide alternatives to resolve the problems experienced in the daily psychosocial risk. The model Life Skills is featured as a process of essential psychosocial competencies in order to a health adaptation to reality and human development. This present article aims to discuss the development of psychosocial competencies from a proactive point of view of psychological health promotion and protection factor of children and adolescents development.
