Abstract

The following paper intends to present the multiple voices of the women that live in the Aglomerado Santa Lúcia (Belo Horizonte, MG) and which are living the housing removal process due to the intervention of the Programa Vila Viva in villages and favelas. It seeks to reveal this invisible, excluded and subaltern experiences in the feminist theories and the relation of opposite between the formal city and the favela, and because of that those women are the alters. Will discuss through these voices the concept of appropriation and representation of space experienced by them in the favelas, the gender relationships in the public space of the community throughout the debates about the intervention, moreover the violence that they suffer through this painful process. It also intends to discuss the effects of the gender theories exclusion in the minds and in the urban planning, that are responsible to produce crossing powers, to create and increase the subaltern condition and to exclude the experiences of women from the favelas.
