Abstract

AMARAL, Graziele Alves; MENDES, Ana Magnólia Bezerra; CHATELARD, Daniela Scheinkman  and  CARVALHO, Isalena Santos. Siting the Concept of Sublimation within the Psychodynamics of Work. Rev. Polis Psique [online]. 2017, vol.7, n.3, pp. 200-223. ISSN 2238-152X.

This theoretical article investigates how the development of Christophe Dejours’s concept of subjective mobilisation at work can be related to the Freudian concept of sublimation. Dejours’s reading of the sublimation process as conceived by Freud and its application towards understanding a subject's relationship with work allows the widening of the original concept and sheds light on how a subject is mobilised subjectively at work. Our reflective elaboration can contribute to support the interventions proposed by the psychodynamic clinic of the psychopathology of work and instrumentalize its clinicians to act within an emancipatory perspective and instil subjective growth through work. The power of the clinic of the psychopathology of work is conceived as a means to enable channels within the work organization to favour sublimatory satisfaction.

Keywords : Sublimation; Subjective Mobilization; Psychodynamics of Work; Psychopathology of Work Clinic.
