CAIMI, Claudia Luiza. The form of the city: displacement, porosity and resonance in writing. Rev. Polis Psique [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.2, pp. 232-243. ISSN 2238-152X.

In this paper we present a discussion about the text "The polyphony in writing: traces, risks and experience", which proposes to establish an intimate relation between the map of the city and writing, between language and thought, between the political and the aesthetics that runs through a text. We propose to present, from the thought of Walter Benjamin, how the thinker/narrator moves around the city and narrates it. Benjamin shows us how the city provides a form of narrative and thought that exposes the difference in the tensions of the experience of the modern man; individual-mass inhabitant of the great urban space, lonely, anonymous, who lives the shock in the context of profusion of automobiles, buildings and labyrinthine avenues. From the experience in the city, Walter Benjamin proposes a writing of documentary assembly, which exhibits instead of demonstrating and renouncing the discursive, deductive and demonstrative value of academic writing in favor of a more iconic and showy aspect. The assembly as aesthetic and thought form allows exposing the deterritorialization of the objects of knowledge, once the differences are never absorbed in a positive synthesis on it. The interval is quintessentially in Benjaminian thought, the epistemological instrument of disciplinary deterritorialization that allows to know and to see a policy of the present that inscribes the complex memory processes.
