Abstract

This work presents cartography, as proposed by Deleuze and Guattari, as a tool for the production of knowledge. Faced with the multiplicity and complexity of social issues and demands that reach the academy, cartography brings the proposal of producing nomadic science that enables us to create new research devices each time. In this context, we reflect on the concept of device, articulating it to cartography and investigation the research field of research through four considerations: the importance of transversality; the territorial function of the device; the drawing of the common plan for the collective production of knowledge; the importance of building trust among those involved. Finally, we discuss about the knowlege production from the research experience, considering how important is to nomadic science avoid universalization and modelization: the knowlege production must be used as an example, not as a model.
