CAMARA, Flávia; LIMA, Maria Lúcia  e  CRUZ, Crissia. Women on the street: from "fiu-fiu" to the rape. Rev. Polis Psique [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.3, pp. 114-132. ISSN 2238-152X.

Harassment in public spaces are recurrent in women's daily lives. Faced with this problem, this bibliographical and documentary study aims to contribute to the discussions about harassment in public places based on the documentary Femme de la rue. The reflection on the (un)told stories of women sought to draw a common line between "fiu-fiu" to rape, which, although they are different degrees of violence against women, they have in common the process of reification of the female body, which has been transformed into thing and fetishized as commodity in a social-historical process. Thus, it is defended the importance of new research to broaden the debate, as well as the construction and the strengthening of public policies that include in the scope of their actions the arduous task of facing the patriarchal, racist and heteronormative system, sustaining the violence against women.

Palavras-chave : Harassment; rape; violence against women.
