Abstract

MARINHO, Adriano Ruschel. Between the Problematization of Ethics and the Ethics of Problematization. Rev. Polis Psique [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.spe, pp. 4-19. ISSN 2238-152X.

Converting ethics into a subject of reflection represents a historic and recurring challenge to philosophy. Research does not escape from scrutiny of ethical problematization, although it does not advance so much beyond the free and informed consent term to submit the project to research ethics committee for approval. The trend to frame ethics as a discipline of scientific methodology results from it. In contrast, it's proposed here to replace the problematization of ethics in research by the ethics of research problematization. It's about assuming the promise to predict ethical implications at any stage of research, and also designing applicable ethical measures since the research project to the publication of results. As an example, it's invested in a concluded research exhumation, aiming at ascertaining eventual failures or delays based on the ethics of problematization. The setting of a new study under same reference follows it.

Keywords : research; ethics; problematization.
