MARTINS, Catia Paranhos. Outlines to think about the present: arte de Rosana Paulino y Beth Moysés. Rev. Polis Psique [online]. 2020, vol.10, n.1, pp. 47-62. ISSN 2238-152X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22456/2238-152X.99274.

In this text I seek to articulate women, art and politics as dimensions for thinking about the present. Artistic production is used as a device to problematize what happens to us and to see what should be intolerable, as well as to look for the germs of life that can decolonize thought and desire. Rosana Paulino and Beth Moysés are internationally recognized artists and raise questions about what it is to be female and non-white by denaturalizing the daily and historical violence and violations of the colonial and patriarchal project. What are the pains and silences in the commented works? How much violence is there in being a woman or gendered, feminized and racialized bodies? It is about the policies of life and death in force that the artists contribute to put into analysis. Both use art as a strategy of struggle and resistance in building powerful feminist aesthetics to produce transformations in collective sensibility.
