Abstract

It is argued that it is necessary to present an epistemological justification of psychoanalytic research, as part of reasoning general research work, pointing their scientific and epistemological characteristics to be undertaken; Thus, this work is well organized and objective: a brief discussion about epistemology and science, especially in Psychology, it is the epistemological gap in Psychoanalysis and finally conjures up the epistemological discussion developed by A. Schopenhauer around his notion of Sufficient Reason of Becoming and Knowing as possibilities foundation for research in Psychoanalysis.
