The present contribution seeks to apply a hypothesis concerning the consistency of psychoanalytic thought to the periodization of Lacan's teaching. Departing from Slavoj Zizek and his proposal of a borromean knotting of psychoanalysis, politics and philosophy, a model was constructed for analytic thinking based on the knotting of its clinical, institutional and metapsychological dimensions. Using this model, we have analyzed the trajectory of Lacanian thinking, with promising results both concerning its intelligibility and the opening of future challenges.
