Abstract

GONSALVES, Rodrigo. Subjectivity and engagement: the relationship between militancy and anguish. Analytica [online]. 2015, vol.4, n.7, pp. 98-108. ISSN 2316-5197.

This paper takes the philosophy of Badiou and Žižek, to discuss the situation of the national political scene and to align it before the policy proposal which the authors promote. Drawing on the discussion of critical theory of society, questioning the ideology and the idea and the proposal to resume the communist hypothesis; the present text, finds its discussion of bases in four key terms to know: Subjectivity, Engagement, Advocacy and distress. Through the discussion of the terms of its oppositions, the text points to a consideration of the resilience and criticisms of models arising from the engagement of cultural relativism.

Keywords : Critical Theory of Society; Psychoanalysis; Žižek; Badiou; Engagement; anguish.
