Abstract

This work discusses the body as porter of a name, making it possible to position of the subjection front of the desire of the Other. Starts by considerations of identification in Freud using the construction of the myth of the primal horde and lacanian elaborations about the significant Name-of-the-Father. It indicates three Freudian concepts about the body's relationship with the identification process: the ideal ego, narcissism and pulsion. It emphasizes that the body then carries the name as a trademark, defining a position on the desire of the issues involved in the Oedipus complex.
