Abstract

CARDOSO, Mauricio José d'Escragnolle  and  LUSTOZA, Rosane Zétola. Importance of Heidegger to Lacan's teaching: possibilities and limits of truth as revelation. Analytica [online]. 2016, vol.5, n.8, pp. 80-97. ISSN 2316-5197.

This paper focuses on the importance of Heidegger's philosophy to Lacan's teaching, investigating possibilities and limits of such approach. Lacan finds in Heidegger's critique of modern science project a proof against objectivist readings of psychoanalysis. He derives from Heidegger's speech a more radical way of thinking the truth, which served as inspiration for the opposition empty speech versus full speech in Psychoanalysis. We conclude that the model of psychoanalytic interpretation guided by Heidegger came to an exhaustion, because it understood in a limited way the economic dimension of Freud's work.

Keywords : Lacan; Heidegger; truth; revelation.
