Here we analyze the psychic universe of Rodrigo S. M., narrator -character in A hora da estrela from Clarice Lispector. We evoke the question of absence, lack, emptiness , which is supported by the words. This issue of the void has acquired a central role in the understanding of various sciences such as physics, sociology, anthropology and psychoanalysis . In the latter lack sheds light on the etiology of various neurotic conditions that are evident in the speech and that the speech can be modified. In this context the representations by the words create a wide range of major representative artistic pictures that express themselves in literature , theater and cinema.
