Abstract

LEITAO, Iagor Brum; FAVARO, Dayane de Souza; FIGUEIREDO, Dalton Demoner  and  COMERIO, Suziane Kirmse. The impasses against loss of object: a psychoanalytic reading. Analytica [online]. 2017, vol.6, n.11, pp. 69-93. ISSN 2316-5197.

The article deals with the complexity and importance of the concept of object for Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis in the different forms of Ego defense of each clinical structure against the loss of objects, especially the objects of love. First, we go through the Freudian logic of the functioning of the psychic apparatus, the pleasure principle, having as its central point the question of helplessness. Next, we discuss the different notions of object within the Freudian work to arrive at a vignette of a literary case appealed to by Slavoj Zizek, in a function of clinical character, that supports the present discussion.

Keywords : Object; Loss of object; Helplessness; Melancholy; Clinical Structures.
