Abstract

VIOLA, Daniela Teixeira Dutra. Freud and the real of puberty: a reading of the Emma case. Analytica [online]. 2017, vol.6, n.11, pp. 94-112. ISSN 2316-5197.

This article discusses the question of puberty in the Freudian work from the Lacanian reference. It is proposed to investigate the status of this time of the subject in the theory of sexuality by reading the "Emma case", a clinical fragment that Freud uses to illustrate the mechanism of trauma in a work at the beginning of his theoretical course. Even at a very introductory point in psychoanalysis, this case brings elements of fundamental importance to the whole development of this praxis, since it allows Freud to intuition elements that later Lacan will embrace by the notion of real.
