Abstract

FERREIRA, Mariana Rodrigues Festucci. A brazilian Antigone: the construction of memory of Eunice Paiva and your acting in defense of human dignity beyond the law. Analytica [online]. 2018, vol.7, n.12, pp. 22-40. ISSN 2316-5197.

This text aims at building the memory of Eunice Paiva giving emphasis to your activism in favour of human dignity beyond the law. The emphasis of the research is inspired by the myth of Antigone (Sophocles) where the heroine is prevented to bury her brother Polynices by determination of King Creon. Eunice had the husband extracted from your gathering by agents of the civil military dictatorship in the year 1971; having had indications that he had been killed, claimed the recognition of your death and the revelation of where the body would be buried so that I could pay the funeral honours. Going beyond the personal dimension of the tragedy, Eunice spent the civil rights of the missing military and relatives of all Brazil, and as a lawyer acted against violence and improper expropriation of land suffered by the indigenous population.

Keywords : Eunice Paiva; Antigone; Ethics; Lacan; Dictatorship.
