Psychoanalysis, as well as those who are guided by their theory and praxis, now faces the challenge of sustaining a clinic within institutions, by expanding their borders beyond traditional settings. In the general hospital, the psychoanalyst with his know-how seeks to use the theory inaugurated by Freud as a possible practice to be applied to the context of the hospital institution. It is in the space of the general hospital that the psychoanalyst is summoned to put his know-how on the scene. And it is from the rush to conclude, proper to medical urgency, that the analyst will seek to privilege a temporal opening; a pause necessary for the subject to occupy himself with another time, allowing him, from the speech, an opening for a time to understand, a time that aims at collecting fallen objects and articulating them to a new significant chain.
