ANDRADE, Cleyton  y  ANDRADE, Hudson Vieira de. The principles of analytical Freudian interpretation in the case of the Man of the Rats. Analytica [online]. 2019, vol.8, n.15, pp. 1-17. ISSN 2316-5197.

The present article aims to investigate the structure and constitution of Freudian analytical interpretation in the case of Rat Man. The Freudian interpretation represents at the end of the nineteenth century a new model of intelligibility for the symptoms. In the beginning, it was mobilized in the restitution of what was unfounded and unintelligible to the analysand, there would be an unknown knowledge in which the interpretation would seek to restore a relation of meaning, guided by the theory of the Oedipus complex. However, a heterogeneous element starts to stand out in the Freudian clinic, indicating a point not susceptible to the interpretative decipherment. This limit to the addition of meaning would not indicate an imperfection to the interpretative knowledge, on the contrary, that is what would structure the knowledge itself. Lacan indicates a crisis in the Freudian interpretation between the years 1910 and 1920, there would be a mismatch between the clinical material and the theoretical construction. This would lead Freud to a revision of his theory in subsequent years, conceiving a beyond the pleasure principle, implies not only a new conception of the psychic apparatus, but also a redefinition of interpretation.
